Each of our campaigns plays a specific role in our strategic plan supporting existing Oware communities, empowering the youth and building Ghana's competitive presence on the international stage. Explore each campaign below to learn more.
Through workshops, school clubs and a national schools tournament, we are putting Oware in the hands of young Ghanaians building sharper minds, stronger culture and future champions.
This fund finances Ghana's national Oware team to compete in international tournaments — covering flights, accommodation, meals, and per diem.
Our annual calendar features approximately 5 tournaments hosted across different regions of Ghana. These events bring communities together, celebrate the game, and grow Oware's competitive profile nationally. Each tournament is an opportunity to showcase skill, build rivalries, and crown champions — keeping the spirit of Oware alive and thriving across the country.
The future of Oware lies with the next generation. Our Youth Program runs initiation workshops, supports school clubs, and hosts a national schools tournament — ensuring the game is passed on to young minds across Ghana. These activities contribute to developing critical thinking, strategic reasoning, and cultural pride among future leaders.
We believe every Junior and Senior High School in Ghana should have an Oware board. This campaign aims to supply every JHS and SHS with 30 boards — enough to run a school club and host internal annual tournaments.
The numbers:
Cost per board: GHS 250
Boards per school: 30
Cost per school: GHS 7,500
Every thriving organisation needs a solid foundation. Our Annual Budget Campaign funds the day-to-day administrative and field operations that keep everything running from secretary and outreach functions to website hosting and logistics.
This budget supports a core team of three: a Secretary, a Treasurer and an Education Director. It also covers office premises, utility bills, and all associated operational costs.
Target: GHS 500,000
We build a strong and inclusive community by connecting players through shared cultural appreciation.
